The Phoenix Power animal or spirit guide

a creature of great wonder and mystery. The great bird can be found in mythologies all across the globe, ranging from China to Greece. The phoenix is a mythological creature and there has never actually been any evidence that the "firebird" has ever existed.

It is said that the phoenix has a 500-1000 year life span. When it reaches the end of it's life span, the bird is said to do something absolutely amazing. It is said that the phoenix builds a nest near the end of it's life span and then ignites itself, burning itself and the nest. From the rubble, a new phoenix is said to arise, taking the place of the older one. It is not known if the bird is immortal, or that the "reborn" one is simply it's offspring.

Phoenix symbolism and how it applies to your life:

It is a symbol of Death and Rebirth, immortality, Overcoming Impossible Odds, Reincarnation, New Life/Cycles, Cleansing Energy of Fire, Rebirth, Renewal, Growth Spiritually, Strength, Energy, and eternal light, the Phoenix brings with it a desire for change. When Phoenix comes it is likely that you are ready for a significant change, a renewal, a fresh perspective, or even a life-changing transformation. "Arising from the ashes!" (In ancient Egypt the Phoenix is called the Bennu Bird)

"The bird proudly willing to burn,
So that he may live again,
Chooses the flames of fires
That burn the aged Phoenix
The nature stands still
Till a new young bird starts again,
and begins the legend of the Phoenix."

Stop and spend some quiet time in thought and focused meditation on how these qualities and The Phoenix represents to you in your personal experiences and in your life. Examine themes in your life in general, past experiences and ones you are currently going through. The Phoenix will come through to guide you in the way to handle these things, learn your lessons and grow from it. The Phoenix is not a typical spirit guide that stays in your life once you have seen what message it brings you and learn the lessons it is teaching you but may be in your life for years until you realize this and move forward with it's lessons.

  1. Thank you for this post. I have been in search of information about animal guides/spirit animals. And I believe that the phoenix is mines, even though it is a mythical creature. You stated that the Phoenix is temporal guide. So after one learns the lessons it teaches, are you given a new spirit animal?

    1. No, the phoenix 'dies' and is reborn. It is immortal and you are born into a new person, ready to help heal those ailing spirits around you

  6. I was sitting under an avocado tree pitching something to a friend.
I heard the branch shake and was touched behind my head by something.
I looks to my left and saw something transparent with rainbow like colors...it disappeared.

I look at my friend almost immediately and his face was in shock he told me he saw a transparent bird like light being refracted and it came down behind me and flew to the left and disappeared.
